| A key part of the Shoemat range is the Insole Materials product line spearheaded by Bontex, the world leading cellulose insole material. Following a recent reorganisation within Bontex and the closure of its plant in Belgium in 2004, Bontex have announced that Shoemat has been appointed its European Liaison Office and Distribution Centre based within the UK.
Shoemat is now the largest stockist of Bontex materials in Europe, combined with its insole strip making and components facility it is well placed to service the needs of the shoe industry, providing both sheet materials and fully integrated insole strips made to customers individual specifications and designs.
Shoemat also use Bontex material as the core in its range of insole Ply Rib manufactured at its components operation in Wollaston and exported to customers throughout the world. In addition to the footwear industry Bontex produce specialised cellulose materials for use in cap peaks and the luggage industry. Shoemats extensive range of insole materials allows them to offer the industry products suitable for all types of constructions. In addition to the range of Bontex Cellulose Insole materials, Shoemat also stock products from leading non-woven manufacturers for use in all types of footwear including Cemented, Welted and Strobel constructions. Many of the products supplied are complex materials made to satisfy specific technical applications where moisture and impact management and customisation are key requirements. |
